Olympia Hellas company:
was “born” in October 10th 2008, as a succession of the commercial enterprise set up by Dimitris and his parents, Nicholas and Margarita. Dimitris, vigorous and inspired by the commercial spirit within, son of refugees from Constantinople, got involved with the dried fruits and nuts trade, seeking the best products produced in every corner in Greece, insisting to support the Greek farmers. Inheriting his aspiration and business acumen, we continue to remain loyal to Greek origins and quality, carefully choosing our nuts one by one.
Since 1960, grandmother Margarita, with the help of her son Dimitris, used to buy walnuts and almonds from producers, processed and distributed them to nut shops and wholesalers in Athens.
In 1985, Dimitris transferred the enterprise in privately owned facilities, in the Kalamata industrial area. In 1995, the facilities were extended and in 2012 they were completely renovated and Olympia Hellas was certified according to the requirements of ISO 22000:2005 (HACCP) standards and Codex Alimentarius, for all the production stages (process, sorting, packing, roasting, trading). In 2014, the company insured compliance of the process of figs disinfestation according to the standards’ requirements
Today, the main activity of Olympia Hellas is the process, packaging and trading of Messinian peanuts, shelled peanuts and Kalamata dried figs. In addition, the company trades the complete line of nuts and dried fruits, raw and roasted, superfoods, snacks and sugar products in the internal market, with final perspective the international market.
